Hey all, this is a big world with many places to visit. It might be even in your own backyard. Or, may be you have been some of the same places I have. We each have our story, and unique take on what we see and experience. I would like to make this blog a place that other “Globe Trottin Granny’s” can write and have their story published.

Your writing must be original, not published anywhere else on the web, or in the traditional publishing world.

It must be your own work, and you must be a grandmother.

No profanity.

In general, the post should be from 250 to 700 words.

At least one picture should be included, and no more than 15. (several pictures will be presented as a slide show)

What I am not interested in is the article that tries to include everything from a 10 day vacation. Break it up into smaller articles, and look for unique nuances that is part of the culture. Even in the US there are cultural differences in different parts of the country or with different ethnic groups. You can point out differences and ask why, but don’t make your way the absolute superior way.

If you have published writing on the web it is okay, and you may link to your blog or published article with your short introductory biography.

If you have never had anything published that’s okay too. Many have a knack for writing, but have never done anything with it.

I reserve the right to make the decision of whether to include an article, and when it will be published.

Oh, and if you do not fit into the category of a grandma, but are interested in writing on Globe Trottin, let me know. In the future I may broaden to more blogs in a group to be Globe Trottin Women, Men, etc.
